enhanced host controller interface (USB 2.0) (EHCI)

The Enhanced HostController Interface (EHCI) is a driver software for USB 2.0. For the 1s versions there are still the Universal Host Controller Interface ( UHCI) and the Open Host Controller Interface( OHCI) and for USB 3.0 the Extensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI).

The EHCI interface for USB 2.0 is a specification for the high-speed mode of USB 2.0 with 480 Mbps. When transferring to a device of the 1s version, these must still be supported by the other drivers UHCI and OHCI.
