enhanced group call (EGC)

Enhanced Group Call (EGC) is an enhanced group call for one-way messaging with group address in the Inmarsat-C satellite service. The group calls are transmitted from registered fixed stations of the public Datex and Telex networks to one or more EGC receivers.The receivers of a group appear under the common group address, the ENID (EGC NetworkIdentity).
