endpoint reference (EPR)

An endpoint reference (EPR) refers to web services with defined resource addresses. The Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) forms such a unique identifier with which all resources and objects available on the global web are marked. In addition, the endpoint reference can contain policies that are relevant to the endpoint - that is, stationary or mobile devices connected to the network. This enables the user, for example, to adapt messages to specific requirements.
