end of frame (EOF)

End of Frame (EOF) is a data field in the signaling protocol of the FC data frame. The EOF data field follows the data fields for the payload and that of the cyclic block check (CRC) and indicates the end of the FC data frame, the start of which is indicated by Start of Frame ( SOF).
