An Electronic Private Branch Exchange (EPBX) is a private, electronically controlled private branch exchange.

Like the Computerized Branch Exchange (CBX) and the Private Branch Exchange( PBX), the EPBX belongs to the group of computerized private branch exchanges. The characteristic of an EPBX is its versatility and the variety of functions with which internal extensions with internal connections or with incoming external calls can be simultaneously switched.
