electronic key management system (encryption) (EKMS)

An Electronic Key Management System, EKMS, is an interoperable collection of systems developed by services and agencies. Such an EKMS system is used to plan, order, generate, distribute, store, fill, use, and destroy electronic keys. It is also used to automate the management of COMSEC materials.
