electromagnetic interference safety margin (EMISM)

The Electromagnetic InterferenceSafety Guidelines (EMISM) describe interference levels for equipment to be considered during development under worst-case conditions for the effect of electromagnetic interference (EMI). The limits for the safety distances against electromagnetic interference are divided into three categories

:Category I:

Life-threatening interference, conditions and influences that lead to the destruction of equipmentCategory II:

The reduction of the functionality of equipment. CategoryIII

: Theloss of

insignificant functions for a facility. Depending on the requirement, levels from 0 dB to 30 dB are to be considered.
