The term electromagnetic environmental compatibility ( EMC) belongs to electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) and refers to the influence and effects of electromagnetic fields( EMF) on humans, animals and the environment.

Environmental electromagnetic compatibility is about radiation from electrical devices such as cell phones, smart phones, fixed and mobile stations, and how it affects nature and humans. To comply with electromagnetic environmental compatibility, each mobile phone station must meet certain guidelines in terms of transmitting power, field strength at a certain distance, etc., to prevent harm to human and animal health. Commonly, the radiation from electromagnetic fields is referred to as electrosmog.
