edge cloud
An edge cloud is a cloud that is distributed across multiple locations with compute and storage resources closer to the network edge.
The proximity to the end users who create and consume the content results in high quality of compute-intensive information and extremely short latency in terms of information access. In this context, one speaks of Quality of Experience( QoE). in contrast to classic clouds, edge clouds support compute-intensive cloud- native applications with lowest latency as defined by Ultra-High Reliability and Low Latency Communications( uRLLC). Traditional centralized cloud architectures cannot meet this demand; they require a more dynamic and distributed cloud model. These applications can be both end- user-centric and network-driven.
