early finish date (PM) (EF)

The earliest completion date, the Early Finish Date, is a project management term.

The Early Finish Date refers to the Critical Path Method and an earlier time for the completion of project elements, sub-projects or the complete project. The earliest finish date is a date that is earlier than the completion date shown in the project plan. During the project duration, the earlier completion date can change several times, especially if different project phases can be realized faster. Ideally, the completion schedule of the project is earlier than the date shown in the project plan.
