early decay time (reverberation) (EDT)

In reverberation, the first room reflections are perceived most strongly and are decisive for the subjective perception of reverberation. This early reverberation is the reverberation time in which the sound level decreases by 10 dB. This reverberation time is called Early Decay Time (EDT) and is largely dependent on the room size in which the reverberation is generated.
