e-mobility provider (charging station) (EMP)

E-Mobility Providers (EMP) are companies that provide and operate the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Electro Mobility Providers do not have their own charging infrastructure, but rent corresponding charging services from Charge Point Operators( CPO), who own and operate their own charging stations. EMP providers make this charging infrastructure available to their customers.

The e-mobility providers' offer is designed in such a way that the charging infrastructure can also be made available to customers of other EMP providers. This technology is called e- roaming and is provided by the Roaming Network Operator( RNO). Billing takes place between the CPO provider and the EMP provider.
