dynamic process and temperature compensation (power management) (DPTC)

Dynamic Process and Temperature Compensation (DPTC) is a technique for dynamic power management( DPM) of mobile devices.

The DPTC technique can be seen as an optimization of Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling( DVFS), as it influences the operating voltage and clock frequency of the energy-saving processors. In this technique, the corresponding processors are monitored with an integrated process- and temperature-dependent structure. From this, a possible reduction in the operating voltage is determined, which is sufficient for the operating temperature to be close to the ambient temperature.
