distributed systems
The term "distributed systems" refers to networks or computer constellations that are geographically distributed and logically connected via node computers. Generally, the configuration is such that node computers share common resources such as file servers, print servers, host applications, or databases.
Communication between distributed data processing ( DDP) nodes can be sporadic or intensive, interactive, using remote procedure call( RPC) or batch processing. Distributed systems, on the other hand, also refers to an operating system that uniformly controls all components of a distributed, networked system environment. The special feature of this is that a distributed system is a system-wide operating system and is not, like a network operating system, based on the individual operating systems of the nodes. The distributed system primarily realizes transparency for the operating resources.
