distributed system object model (IBM) (DSOM)

Distributed System Object Model (DSOM) is an object model developed by IBM for the distribution of modular software objects over a network. DSOM is based on the predecessor System Object Model (SOM) and accommodates the Object Request Broker Architecture( COBRA). It is comparable to the Distributed Component Object Model( DCOM) from Microsoft.
