distributed functional plane (IN) (DFP)
The Distributed Functional Plane (DFP) is the layer in the IN layer model that contains the functional units, the Functional Entities( FE), and their relationships to each other.
The Distibuted Functional Plane lies between the Physical Plane( PP) and the Global Functional Plane( GFP). The Distributed Functional Plane (DFP), which works with functional units distributed in the network, can be used to implement fast network-independent service integration.
The functional instances of the DFP layer include the Service Control Function( SCF), Service Data Function (SDF), Service Management Function( SMF), Specialized Resource Function (SRF), Service Switching Function( SSF) and Service Switching Point ( SSP).
