Discrete Packaging (DPAK) is a package design. It is an SMD package for passive and active electronic components, for resistors, diodes, transistors and FETs. The DPAK package is similar to the TO package. It can have three, five or seven leads and is attached directly to the board. The package body may have a metallic plate on the bottom surface for heat dissipation.
