discovery frame
In source ro uting, the route is determined by a discovery frame sent out by the host.
The discovery frame propagates across the entire network, including all connections and destinations, and collects all addresses. Based on the collected data, the host decides on the most appropriate route. For example, the route with the fewest hops or the shortest path can be selected.
