disc description protocol (DVD-R) (DDP)
Disc Description Protocol(DDP) is a data description format used to specify the contents of optical storage media.
The Disc Description Protocol is used when duplicating a master CD orDVD. The DDP file contains the elements for the audio image( DAT), the DDP identifier (DDPID), the DDP stream descriptor (DDPMS), and a subcode descriptor (PQDESCR). Often an additional text file with track titles and timing information is also included. Many digital audio workstation( DAW) and audio editing programs can create DDP files.
