direct numerical control (DNC)

Direct Numerical Control (DNC) is a direct numerical control that uses a communication link to transfer part programs from a computer to a numerical control (NC). It is used to control machine tools by converting data records

transmitted from the production computer into changes in the movement of the machine tool. Direct Numerical Control is a further development of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC), which in turn is based on Numerical Control (NC).
