digital vertical interval time code (DVITC)

Digital Vertical Time Code (DVITC) is the Vertical Interval Time Code(VITC) for digital video. It is inserted into the vertical blanking interval of the SDI signal and does not appear in the video image. The DVITC time code, like most time codes, has the format: hh:mm:ss:ff, which stands for hours (h), minutes (m), seconds (s), and frames (f).
