digital home standard (DHS)

The Digital Home Standard (DHS) is a standard of the Universal Powerline Association (UPA) for home networking via Powerline Communication

(PLC). The DHS standard is intended to distribute triple play

aswell

as audio and HDTV via broadband powerline in digital home networks. With this concept, UPA

wants to secure the digital future of powerline networks. In addition, UPA has taken into account the"Open PLC European Research Alliance"(OPERA) initiative promoted by the European Union in its specifications and aims at a co-existence and interoperability of the Digital Home Standard (DHS) and OPERA (Open PLC European Research Alliance).
