digital extended broadcasting (DXB)

Different technical approaches exist for mobile television. In Germany, the main ones are DVB-H and DMB. Digital Extended Broadcast (DXB) is intended to unify these two mobile radio concepts, which are based on Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) on the one hand and use the physical transmission method ofDigital Audio Broadcast ( DAB) on the other. DXB is a funding program of the Ministry of Research and is intended to extend Digital Audio Broadcast in such a way that video, audio and additional information are transmitted using the IP protocol.
