Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) is a service feature ofdigitaltelephone and mobile networks that displays the caller's number. Identification can be supported by on-screen displays that can be called up immediately; in this case, the caller's number is shown on the display of the cell phone or telephone.

In call centers, the service requested by the caller can be identified on the basis of the dialed DNIS number and processed by the correct department.
