device as a service (DaaS)

Device as a Service (DaaS) is a subscription service for personal computers, printers and other peripherals.

With Device as a Service, the subscriber is provided with the hardware for a monthly amount as well as a maintenance contract that covers maintenance and repairs, comparable to a leasing contract. Device as a Service is interpreted similarly to Hardware as a Service( HaaS). It applies to the lifetime of the devices and includes both their replacement with newer models and their disposal.

The DaaS service was created by Hewlett Packard and aims to reduce investment costs.
