dead on arrival (DOA)
Dead on Arrival (DOA) means that a new peripheral device, computer or module arrives at the customer's site defective.
In the event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), some manufacturers and delivery companies offer a special service that comes into play in the event of a DOA. This includes, for example, the short-term delivery of a replacement unit or a credit note for the defective unit. The DOA offers have nothing to do with the legally regulated warranty, but are manufacturer-specific services.
