data set ready (control character) (DSR)

Data Set Ready(DSR) is an interface control signal generated by the Data Communication Equipment( DCE) indicating operational readiness. Data Set Ready is an interface signal of V.24 interface, RS-232, COM port and others. In the 9- pin and 25-pin Sub-D connector ofRS-232-C, pin 6 is respectively occupied by the DSR signal.
