cellular data link control (mobile communications) (CDLC)

Cellular Data Link Control (CDLC) is a fault-tolerant communication protocol used in cellular networks. This protocol allows users to connect data terminals to their mobile devices and to receive and send data via it.

The CDLC protocol is also used in radio modems. It has error correction to compensate for the high error rate on radio links.
