dark data center

A dark data center is a completely remotely operated data center that is only entered by operating personnel in exceptional cases, for example when a computer

fails. Such a remotely operated data center is also referred to as lights-out management (LOM), i.e. data center management with the lights

switched off. In addition to the dark data center, which is a concept, there is also the semi-dark data center, the dim data center, which is already being implemented by companies. The latter relies on preventive maintenance rather than maintenance after failures. Efficient Dim Data Centers are extremely secure, they work preventively and are completely remotely controllable.
