customer network management (ATM) (CNM)

Customer Network Management(CNM) allows the user of an ATM network to monitor and manage their part of the carrier network.

The CNM interface offers the user the possibility to monitor the physical ports, the virtual connections, the virtual paths, as well as the user and QoS parameters. The Customer Network Management is defined in the ITU-T standard X.160, further standards are the X.162 and the X.163.
