customer gateway (CGW)

A Customer Gateway (CGW) is a network component of a city network ( MAN) based on Distributed Queue Dual Bus ( DQDB), is part of the subscriber equipment in DTAG's Datex-M and establishes the connection to the MAN connection node, which is implemented by the Edge Gateway ( EGW), via the connection line. LAN in Ethernet and Token Ring technology can be connected, optionally also isochronousinterfacesG.703 and G.704 of the International Telecommunication Union ( ITU).
