convergent light

In light propagation, a distinction is made between diffuse light, divergent light and convergent light.

In convergent light, the light rays come from different directions and concentrate in one point. Elements that collect electromagnetic waves or light rays are concave mirrors or collecting lenses. Concave mirrors are used, for example, in parabolic antennas, where they collect and concentrate the radio waves coming from different directions at the focal point.
