Context Based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) is a very efficient coding method used instead of Run Length Enc oding ( RLE) in H.263, which can reduce the data rate by up to 20%. Cabac is very flexible and reduces redundancies between symbols by context formation.
