conducted emission (EMC) (CE)

Electromagnetic emissions(EME) can be transmitted via conductors or radiated as interference radiation. Conducted Emission( CE) is the electromagnetic emission that is conductor-bound, where the interference voltages are transmitted via interconnecting conductors.

Conducted emission can be emissions generated in a circuit or component that are then transmitted through power supplylines or through the input lines or output lines of electronic circuits.

Such conducted emissions are particularly pronounced in automotive technology because motors and other loads such as headlights, horns or flashing lights generate high current surges whose emissions propagate through the wiring harness and supply lines.
