Electromagnetic emissions (EME) can be conducted or radiated as spurious emissions. Conducted emission (CE) is the electromagnetic emission
that is conducted, where the spurious voltages are transmitted through interconnecting conductors. Conducted emissions can be emissions that are generated in a circuit or component and are then transmitted via the power supplylines
or via the input lines or output lines of electronic circuits. Conducted emissions of this kind are particularly pronounced in automotive technology because motors and other consumers such as headlights, horns or flashing lights generate high current surges whose emissions are propagated via the wiring harness and the supply lines.
