computer network attack (security) (CNA)

Computer Network Attacks(CNA) are attacks on computers and computer networks. Via corresponding attacks, attackers try to gain access to or delete data, impair or manipulate network operations.

CNA attacks belong to computer network operations(CNO). They are cyberattacks on the data in computer networks of utilities, municipal and medical facilities, industrial facilities, traffic control systems, financial markets, automotive technology, or the movement of goods. It is cyberwar in which potential vulnerabilities are exploited, systems, equipment, and machinery are manipulated, and traffic or utilities to entire cities are paralyzed.

The Stuxnet attack, which destroyed Iranian nuclear centrifuges, is a unique example of a computer network attack.
