computer integrated telephony (CTI) (CIT)
Computer Integrated Telephony (CIT) are telephone convenience functions that can be accessed and controlled from a personal computer.
The CIT functions include the administration of call numbers with information about the call participants, call management and the keeping of a journal in which all connections are registered.
The database containing call numbers, call partners, call information and the connection journal is connected to the digitalPBX via a Telephony Application Programming Interface( TAPI). Via this programming interface, the computer can select a call partner from the database and establish a call connection with this partner. The call number, call time and call duration are automatically registered in the connection journal.
