comprehensive Perl archive network (CPAN)

CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) is a central archive, a repository, in which numerous extensions and sample programs, so-called modules, are available for Perl Online.

CPAN consists of a worldwide network of mirrored servers with a uniform directory structure. When logging into the CPAN network, the nearest server is automatically determined. CPAN has an extremely professional search structure to solve specific problems and to find the required module.
