Collaborative work is a work-sharing concept made possible by the Internet.

Collaborative work means that people in different locations and time zones can work on the same project. This collaborative work of people from sometimes different countries or continents is made possible through the use of shared servers, conferencing systems and communication software such as Skype. Collaborative work enables more efficient work organization and, for example, uses expert knowledge from different countries and integrates it into project work in real time.
