A Cloud Oriented Architecture (COA) can be seen as an abstract architecture model that includes all components and elements of the cloud.

In information technology, the Cloud Oriented Architecture is the structure of an information system with its interrelationships between the various instances.

The Cloud Oriented Architecture with its components and procedures generates the cloud services. Such a COA architecture is comparable to other computer architectures with the difference that it deals with influences that are indirectly or directly related to cloud computing. This refers to the processes, the source structures, and the logical and physical components. The origin of COA architectures lies in the already known and installed architectures such as Service Oriented Architecture( SOA), Resource Oriented Architecture( ROA), Client-Server Architecture, Distributed Computing and Grid Computing.
