Cloudenablers are companies that provide the technologies for cloud computing. They develop software and hardware and use the technologies of other companies to offer cloud solutions to their customers.

A cloud enabler is comparable to a cloud service provider( CSP) with the difference that the service provider develops and offers self-developed complete cloud solutions. In contrast, the cloud enabler often deals with third-party products such as storage units, networks and other cloud components. The cloud enabler can integrate cloud services and develop new ones and provide management software. A typical cloud service offered by cloud enablers is Software Infrastructure-as-a-Service( SIaaS).
