clickjacking

Clickjacking is a scam where Internet users are tricked into clicking on websites that they did not intend to click on or whose surface is covered with a transparent, invisible layer.

Clickjacking belongs to click fraud. It can be based on visitors downloading malware provided by cybercriminals to their PC, laptop or other terminal devices when clicking on a link.

Another clickjacking technique is based on the fact that the surface of the clicked web page is overlaid with a transparent layer that is invisible to the user. This invisible layer, which is controlled by cybercriminals, is used by visitors for sensitive input. For example, for authentication during banking transactions, for entering identification numbers and passwords. The information entered into the transparent screen mask is transmitted directly to the cybercriminals.
