clear collision

Clear Collision is the simultaneous SVC disconnection, Switches Virtual Circuit (SVC), by the data transmission device( DCE) and the data termination device( DTE) on the same logical channel.

In X.25, when a connection is cleared, there is first a Clear Request and then a Clear Confirmation. X.25 assumes that the clear request comes from only one of the two subscribers. If the clear request comes from both at the same time, there is a clear collision, but this has no consequences because X.25 is set up for this.
