A clean room: A clean room is a production room in which the climate and fine dust levels are precisely controlled.

Clean rooms are classified by the maximum number of particles that may be present in a space defined in cubic feet. Particle size is specified as 0.3 microns or larger, and room dimension refers to 1 cft (cubic feet), which is equivalent to 0.028 cbm (cubic meters).

Cleanrooms are divided into classes from Class 1 to Class 10,000, with the class number corresponding to the number of particles per cubic foot.
