circuit group blocking (mobile communications) (CGB)

The Circuit Group Blocking (CGB) control signal can be used to block user channels in GSM networks. The blocking can take place when hardware errors occur or also by the maintenance personnel. The CGB message can be used to block up to 32 user channels.

Circuit Group Blocking Acknowledgement (CGBA) is the acknowledgement for the blocking process of a transmission link in a mobile network, which was triggered by Circuit Group Blocking (CGB).
