channel conflict

The term Channel Conflict stands for conflicts between different sales channels of a product or service. Companies often have difficulties to ensure a uniform marketing including pricing policy and brand management along different channels (e.g. own stores, distributors, franchisees, catalogue business and internet). To avoid channel conflicts, for example, some channels (such as the Internet) are excluded from marketing.
