change control system

The Change ControlSystem is a project

management term that describes how changes to deliverables and documentation are implemented, managed and controlled. The objective of the Change Control System is to ensure that changes are not implemented arbitrarily, but are carefully reviewed and signed off by a responsible employee. This is not about the decision to approve, reject and postpone changes, which is made by the Change Control Board (CCB), but about procedural issues and procedures. The change control system is based on a kind of change control policy in which the procedural issues are documented.
