change control board (CCB)

The Change Control Board (CCB) is a group of project team members responsible for making final decisions about changes. They intervene in change management by reviewing change requests, examining their impact, and then making their decision. The issues involved are whether and when changes can be made. Changes that affect the baseline are almost exclusively submitted to the Change Control Board for approval.
