cell error rate (CER)

The CellError Rate (CER) is a performance parameter of ATM. The cell error rate indicates the ratio of cells received with errors to the total number of cells transmitted. If 220 out of 10,000 cells are detected as faulty, then the cell error rate is 2.2%.
