cell delay variation (ATM) (CDV)

The cell delay variation, Cell Delay Variation (CDV), is a performance parameter for the throughput delay of ATM cells over a virtual channel( VC).

The CDV performance parameter specifies the Cell Transfer Delay( CTD) deviations from the expected mean value. The peak value in the cell delay variation is a quality of service parameter for the delay related to the Constant Bit Rate( CBR) and Variable Bit Rate( VBR) services.
